This site covers up to sixteen generations of known ancestors of John and Pam Maris and the numerous descendant branches we have identified since we began our research in 2000. It remains, however, very much a "work in progress".

Our philosophy is to continue development of ancestral lines whilst, at the same time, researching as many descendant lines as possible. In this way, we aim to maximize opportunities to contact new distant cousins and to facilitate sharing of information about common ancestors. To date, we have now encountered over three hundred "internet cousins" - i.e. family history researchers who are related to John or Pam. We are grateful to all of those who have contributed to the development of our family trees.

Feedback is welcomed on both content and layout of the site. We are particularly keen to identify and correct any significant errors or ommissions.
